Why On-line Therapy
Effective
Proven to be as effective as face to face therapy particularly CBT, which is at the heart of how I work.
Flexible
A number of options to suit you and your timetable and where you are on your therapeutic journey:
- One to One sessions – 45 MINUTES either via zoom of telephone.
- E-mail bundle – great to explore an issue or use as support following therapy.
- Audio plans – Guided audio sessions on MP3
- Self help plans – structured treatment programmed using video.
Ethical and Privacy Concerns
Although I will not discuss these issues in depth, some of the important concerns being raised about Online or Cybertherapy involve legal and ethical issues. Please read my GDPR policies if you have any concerns. I use encrypted modes of communication to protect your privacy.
Online Expertise:
Online therapy involves a different skills base to face to face.
I am a member of ACTO – Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Online where I have participated in Diploma level training to ensure I deliver the best online therapy possible.
Preparation for first session
You can use a desktop, laptop, or mobile device. Ensure you have a very good connection.
Find a quiet location where you will not be disturbed for the 45-minute time period. Maybe a sign on the door will remind other flat mate or family members if you live with others.
Successful outcomes for therapy rely on your positive expectation. So, maybe it’s possible for you to imagine what it would be like to understand and be free of any issues that are stopping you move forward in life in the way you would like and how that would look for you or maybe it’s not possible right now.
