Brief instructions on how to complete The Life Wheel:

Each segment carries a score of O — 10 and this represents how you currently feel you are
getting on with that particular segment. 0 indicates a low score and 10 indicates a high
score. This is just a gut or instinctive response in the moment you are completing the chart.

Relationship — how you feel you are getting on with your spouse/partner. If you are single
this will represent how you feel about being single. ‘Fun & Recreation’ and ‘Rest & Relaxation’ are intentionally separated in this chart as the former represents activities that increase your heart rate, give you a buzz, a high, an adrenaline rush and the latter that are activities that bring calm, relaxation, lower your heart rate, more of a serotonin response.

Contribution — research suggests that those who make a positive contribution in society
(charitable work, generosity to others, community engagement and so on) lead more
productive and emotionally positive lives.

Mark each segment (on the scale to the right of each segment) and then connect up the
marks so that your wheel forms a shape.

The concept of the Life Wheel suggests that the more ‘air’ you have in your tyre, the more
comfortable your journey through life will be. If a particular segment is low, you may end up experiencing quite a ‘bumpy’ ride.

You might want to consider doing this periodically in the future as a bit of a health check.
